Soaking Pool at McMenamins Old St. Francis School

This local sparkling gem is a semi-enclosed pool, amidst shimmering turquoise tilework. One is reminded of an ancient bathhouse, even while the central Oregon snow or rain falls in through the open ceiling! As you’re immersing yourself you can’t help but to admire the luminous stained-glass windows. The tiles were handcrafted, fired and painted into a beautiful mural depicting St. Francis and others harvesting grapes. This pool offers a smoother, softer-feeling water soothing to the skin, with diminished chloramines, less odor and reduced eye irritation and health benefits due to using mineral salts. The pool is open to the public for soaking time by reservation only. Public hours: Sunday-Friday, 10:30am-4:30pm. The soaking pool is for $10 per person for an hour soak, kids 2 and under are free. Call the hotel front desk for reservations up to seven days in advance.
